M-1 Generator Interlock Kit

This Kit Fits Brands:

 Murray - ITE - Siemens

Type of Circuit Breaker Panel:

 4 handle vertical throw main breaker centered over 2 columns with a 1 1/4" space between main breaker and column breakers

IMPORTANT    

  • The double breaker for the generator MUST be installed at the top of the right side column.
  • The generator breaker has to be installed before installing this interlock.
  • Using an electrical professional to install this interlock is recommended.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. With the main breaker on and the generator breaker off, place the interlock over the main breaker. The tab on the inside upper right corner of the interlock should be against the right side of the main breaker toggle and the tab at the bottom of the interlock should be just to the left of the generator breaker toggle. Mark the position of the bottom plate.

  2. Disassemble the interlock and place the bottom plate back in the same position Mark the position of holes onto the panel cover.

  3. Remove panel cover and drill holes using the supplied 3/16" drill bit.

  4. With the screws inserted through the back of the panel cover, reassemble the interlock.

  5. Be sure the top plate of the interlock can slide left and right.

  6. Replace panel box cover.

  7. Remove warning sticker from this sheet and place vertically across the generator double breaker.
