B-2 Generator Interlock Kit

this kit fits brands:

 any panel with a Bryant main breaker IMPORTANT the main breaker toggle alignment must be set back just like in the pictures above otherwise use the GEN-2 model interlock

type of circuit breaker panel:

 2 handle horizontal throw Bryant main breaker with the generator breaker vertically adjacent below or above the main breaker

panel spaces used:

 2 adjacent above or below the main breaker

how it works:

 interlock pivots with one end against the main breaker toggle and the other end against the generator breaker toggle allowing only one of them to be on at the same time

National Electrical Code requires a system in place that prevents an emergency generator from feeding back into the utility line. This interlock will only allow the generator breaker to be switched on if the main breaker is off. Or the main breaker to be turned on if the generator breaker is off.

You will also need:
  • A generator with a 240 volt outlet
  • A double breaker located adjacent above or below the main breaker
  • An inlet box and wiring connected to that double breaker
Using this interlock will allow you to power your existing house wiring with your generator (within its wattage limits), including 240 volt circuits such as a well pump.
